1. About Expensa

Expensa is a personal finance tracking app at https://www.expensa.cloud, operated by Amresh Kumar. This policy explains how information is used when you sign in and use the app. For privacy questions, contact amreshk005@gmail.com.

2. Information you provide

We store the information you enter into Expensa, including income and expense transactions, amounts, dates, descriptions, categories, payment methods, notes, scheduled transactions, and loan records. We also store profile preferences such as your name, currency, timezone, and date format.

Account and security information includes your account identifier, sign-in details, and the security settings you choose. Technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, timestamps, and error or security logs may be processed to operate and protect the service.

3. Google sign-in

When you choose Sign in with Google, Google provides your account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture to authenticate you and display your profile. Supabase processes this information to create and maintain your Expensa session.

Expensa requests basic identity scopes (openid, email, and profile). Google sign-in does not give Expensa access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or bank accounts. Expensa does not receive your Google password.

Google account information is used for sign-in, account identification, and your profile. It is not sold or used for personalized advertising. You can revoke access through your Google Account connections settings; revoking access does not automatically delete information already stored in Expensa.

4. How information is used and shared

We use account and finance information to provide your transaction history, calculations, reports, scheduled entries, loan tracking, preferences, and account security. Information you send when contacting support is used to respond to your request.

Expensa uses Supabase for authentication and database storage, Vercel for website hosting, and Google for Google sign-in. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. Email sign-in messages, when used, are handled by the configured authentication email service.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, to address fraud or security incidents, or as necessary to protect users and the service.

5. Cookies, local storage, and security

Expensa uses cookies to maintain authentication sessions and browser storage for preferences and app security state. Its service worker caches application resources to support the installed web app experience. Clearing browser storage can sign you out or reset local preferences.

We use HTTPS, authenticated access, and database access controls to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a trusted device and protect the Google or email account you use to sign in.

6. Storage, retention, and your choices

Information is stored through our service providers and may be processed outside your country. We keep account and finance records while needed to provide the service. Deleted information may remain in backups or operational logs for a limited period as those systems are maintained, or where retention is required by law.

You can review, edit, or delete individual finance records using the app. To request a copy of your information, correction, or deletion of your account and its data, email amreshk005@gmail.com from your account email. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete your account.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law. Contact us to exercise those rights or raise a privacy concern.

7. Changes and contact

Updates to this policy will be published on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel.
